Bio
Elena Perry graduated from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Concentration in Financial Management. During her undergraduate career, Elena was the Lead Analyst for Cal Poly’s CFA Institute Research Competition team. She covered Electronic Arts (NASDAQ: EA) in an analyst report and presented the research to a panel of industry professionals, ultimately earning 1st place. Upon graduation, Elena combined her expertise in financial analysis with her passion for environmental welfare to work as an Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Investment Advisor. In this role she gained valuable experience compiling fund engagement data, designing portfolios, and advising clients on ESG investments. The inconsistency and quality of ESG data reporting she uncovered catalyzed her to pursue a MESM degree. At Bren, she is specializing in Corporate Environmental Management to research methods to further assess corporate environmental performance. Elena’s ultimate goal is to measure the private sector’s total economic, natural, and financial impact on the environment and to employ that data to influence corporate behavior.
