Bio
Elizabeth Weathers earned a Bachelor of Arts from Bowdoin College (2018) with majors in Francophone
Studies and Government and Legal Studies, and a minor in Environmental Studies. Upon graduating,
Elizabeth taught English at the University of Western Brittany in France, where she strengthened her
teaching skills, written communication, and spoken French. Elizabeth’s international experience and
interdisciplinary background inspired her interest in exploring holistic approaches to environmental
problems. Prior to Bren, Elizabeth worked as an Environmental Analyst at Eastern Research Group, Inc.
In this position, Elizabeth specialized in research, writing, meeting facilitation, and data analysis. Her
work focused on climate change adaptation efforts, nature-based solutions for climate adaptation,
natural resource management, and stakeholder engagement for public sector, non-profit, and academic
clients.

Elizabeth is passionate about working with natural systems to provide climate mitigation and adaptation
benefits. At the Bren School, Elizabeth plans to specialize in Conservation Planning and seeks to deepen
her understanding of ways to restore and improve ecosystem function for climate adaptation and
resilience benefits.
