Bio
In 2023, Ella earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Resources Engineering from Cal Poly Humboldt specializing in water resources. During her undergraduate studies, Ella worked for Humbolt's student-run sustainability program on initiatives including a free campus bicycle repair workshop, composting operations, and a free office supply exchange. As the director of the office supply exchange, she was diligent with increasing student use metrics after the pandemic through outreach and events. She had a three-year tenure with the Engineering Department's DEI committee where she focused on developing and presenting the results of a yearly community climate survey. Ella worked doing aquatics field work, beach ecosystem education, and restoration engineering during her summers.

After interning at two engineering consulting firms, Ella felt that she wasn't doing enough to address climate change within her career and decided to attend the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management. At Bren, Ella aims to explore the economic, physical, technological, and social barriers to effectively addressing climate change. She is excited to leverage her engineering background to help accelerate the transition to renewable energy solutions.
