Bio
Emilie Lenoir plans to specialize in Coastal Resources Management with the hopes of implementing broad-scale sustainable practices to mitigate the impacts of climate change effectively. Emilie graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences and minors in Sustainability Studies and French Language Studies. Being in Santa Cruz is where her love for the ocean developed. Before coming to Santa Barbara, Emilie worked in marine science education for two years at the Seymour Marine Discovery Center. She also spent a year surveying and tagging Steelhead trout and Coho salmon with NOAA Fisheries. These experiences sparked the desire to dive deeper into marine science and investigate changes in the natural environment. Emilie is interested in the application of marine resources to progress climate technology and minimize environmental impact.
