Haley Grant graduated from the University of Portland in May of 2018, with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and English. In college, Haley studied government and politics, participated in college radio and worked as a reporter at her campus newspaper. During this time Haley also become interested in environmental science, as she learned about climate change in her classes and from news reports. Inspired by the urgency of environmental problems, Haley sought out the Bren school to gain the necessary skills and knowledge to break into the environmental field. Currently, Haley is a 1st year graduate student working towards a Master of Environmental Science and Management with a specialization in Economics and Politics of the Environment from the Bren school at UCSB. Her goal is to become an environmental policy analyst, where she can help shape policies that will remediate the effects of climate change and reduce harmful environmental impacts.
