Bio
Hollie Pennington focuses her work on ensuring she positively impacts the environment and the people around her. She knew from a young age that she wanted to give back to her community. This mindset led her to work in invasive species prevention, habitat restoration, forest-fire prevention, and teaching underprivileged children. Teaching inspired Hollie to start her own business, Evergreen Elementary Environmental Education. Her website supplies STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) lessons plans, presentations, and activities for educators to teach environmental science. She developed the platform during the Covid-19 pandemic to assist struggling schools with finding accessible virtual activities.

Hollie received a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies with a minor in Biology (2019) from California State University of Sacramento. She is currently pursuing a Master of Environmental Science and Management from the Bren School at UCSB, emphasizing economics and politics. Hollie hopes to help bridge the current communication gap between scientists, the public, and governments with her degree.
