Bio 
Ignacio Requena graduated in 2019 with a master’s degree in Anthropology from the School of Natural Sciences & Museum of the Universidad Nacional de La Plata (UNLP) in Buenos Aires, Argentina. During his academic career, Ignacio interned for three years at the Scientific Department of Archaeology and the Anthropology Department of UNLP assisting cultural research on Native American communities of northern Patagonia. Upon graduating he secured a position as a Cultural Resource Management Technician in various environmental consulting firms including Dudek and Rincon Consultants. Since 2021, Ignacio has been working as a Senior Archaeologist for Soar Environmental Consulting and Strata Science, producing all of their Cultural Resource Reports as part of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) process. Ignacio is a certified archaeologist and is the principal investigator and owner of Astro Consultants, a Santa Barbara City and County Qualified archaeological firm. Ignacio is attending Bren School of Environmental Science & Management and hopes to develop and export community-based models that ensure socio-ecological sustainability and well-being.
