MESM 2025
Bio
Isabelle is a Bren MESM student with a love for the outdoors and a desire to protect the environment. She graduated from Cedarville University in 2023 with a bachelor’s of science degree in Biology, where she wrote her thesis on plastic pollution and how it can be filtered out of water systems in wastewater treatment plants. She also studied conservation and restoration science at the Au Sable Institute of Environmental Studies, which encouraged her love for nature and her desire to research the many topics relating to humans’ effect on the environment and the interactive processes between species. Through school and her research, she has learned about many areas where humans have a negative effect on nature’s health, which produced a strong desire to protect the environment on a larger scale, working with companies that affect several of these areas. Isabelle hopes to do so by using her specialization in Business and Sustainability at the Bren school to learn to consult large production companies in how to initiate and grow their processes to protect the environment.
