Bio
Jaden’s passion for taking care of the Earth began as a child, from watching movies like "Ferngully: The Last Rainforest" to participating in Earth Day cleanups. Her dedication to land stewardship led her to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2022 with a bachelor of Science in Environmental Management and Protection and a minor in Land Rehabilitation and Restoration Ecology. While at Cal Poly, she volunteered at the university’s Plant Conservatory, the environmental advocacy organization EcoSlo, and the California Native Plant Society. Combining her love of writing and nature, she wrote blogs for the Central Coast Parks Association to educate the general public about the fragile beauty of California’s central coast. In the summer of 2021, Jaden completed an internship with Go Native, a land restoration company in Half Moon Bay. There she got hands-on experience with land restoration projects and managing a native plant nursery. Jaden is planning to specialize in Conservation Planning with a focus in Strategic Environmental Communication with hopes of restoring damaged landscapes to promote native biodiversity and communicate complex scientific ideas to the general public.
