Something About Me

Hello! I am a rising third-year student at UCSB, double-majoring in Economics and Environmental Studies. I am super excited to be a part of the Bren-Environmental Studies Program ’24-’25 cohort. My interest in Environmental Studies stems from my original interest in Economics. At 16 I founded my own landscaping business in my hometown, which started out as simply a business maneuver. However, as I spent many hours outdoors learning about how communities could benefit from plants, my interest in working in the environmental space grew. This new understanding further inspired me to enter the Environmental Studies major. In recognition for having completed a specified series of courses focused on the climate crisis and sustainability, I was awarded the T.A Barron Award for Environmental Leadership. My studies have not only furthered my interests but they have also strengthened my determination to be a part of the transition towards sustainable economic practices in the future. In my free time I enjoy playing guitar, backpacking, soccer, and skateboarding.
