Bio
Lucas d'Alva Duchrow graduated from King's College London (2024) with a Bachelor's degree in Geography. As a student and young professional, Lucas did interdisciplinary work and research in the fields of renewable energy, regenerative agriculture, and environmental geopolitics. His undergraduate dissertation focused on the financial and ecological viability of applying biochar, a soil amendment, in northern Brazilian agroforestry systems. Being passionate about journalism, Lucas became the editor for the Energy & Environment Policy Center at the King's Think Tank and a writer for the Business Review. Throughout his time at university, with an additional year in industry, he worked in strategic communications for Apella Advisors, environmental consulting for Belterra Agroflorestas, and capacity building at the Namibia Nature Foundation. After graduating he joined the KliK Foundation for Climate Protection and Carbon Offset in Switzerland. At KliK, Lucas worked on projects that support clean energy build-up and green mobility across Africa and Southeast Asia. At Bren, Lucas hopes to specialize in environmental policy and sustainable business with an additional focus on strategic environmental communication. Being Brazilian and German, Lucas intends to bridge initiatives between countries in the global north and south - helping advance solutions that bring the public and private sectors together to enact meaningful change.
