Lucas Empson

Bio
Lucas Empson graduated from Arizona State University’s School of Sustainability in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Sustainability and a Certificate in Energy and Sustainability. During his time there, he interned at the City of Phoenix working on the City’s Sustainable Purchasing Policy. As a part of his program at ASU, Lucas also participated in a senior capstone project where he and his team worked with General Motors on Smart City initiatives. This project involved researching topics within the broad Smart City topic, including electric vehicle integration, enhanced access to new modes of transportation in low-income communities, and the intersection of data and technology to improve mobility within cities. Lucas is interested in corporate environmental management and learning and developing innovative ways for business to be environmental protectors and stewards while continuing to maintain a successful business model.
