Bren-Environmental Studies Fellow Academic Year 2023-24
Something About Me
After graduating in Spring 2024 with an Environmental Studies B.A., with an emphasis in Political Science, and a minor in Spatial Science, I plan to attend law school in Fall 2025. I am passionate about pursuing a career in environmental policy or law in order to promote safer, more sustainable practices among large corporations, and holding these top polluters accountable. Through my work, I want to enforce long-lasting policies and then guide them towards taking a responsible approach to environmental management.
Through my experience as an intern at UCSB Marine Science PISCO Lab, I developed skills in data management and analytics. I also have familiarity with RStudio, Microsoft Office, JavaScript, and am currently in the process of learning GIS. Through my current experience as the Administrative Coordinator with the Environmental Affairs Board, Project Chair with the Environmental Justice Alliance, and Executive Board Member of UCSB's Environmental Law Club, I have also developed skills in project and budget management, environmental justice awareness, and long term event planning, as well as drafting public comments using CEQA and NEPA guidelines and managing with various stakeholders and environmental organizations in support of the Environmental Law Club's efforts.
