Bio
Nadine Snyder graduated magna cum laude from Gettysburg College in 2021 with a double major in Environmental Studies and Public Policy and a minor in Peace and Justice Studies. At Gettysburg, Nadine served as sustainability chair of the Gettysburg College Student Senate, where she advocated for dining services to stop providing plastic bags at the dining facilities and encouraged the college to add a sustainability component to freshman orientation. Nadine also served on the Gettysburg College Presidential Sustainability Committee, where she met with school administrators to discuss the college’s sustainability initiatives, and was president of the Gettysburg Environmental Concerns Organization, where she led meetings and events on various environmental issues. Nadine’s experience working with her undergraduate institution to improve sustainability measures inspired her to seek a graduate degree centered on environmental science and management. At Bren, Nadine is specializing in Economics and Politics of the Environment and Climate and Energy. She hopes that her education will allow her to develop climate policies on a local, state, or federal level.
