Bio
Natalie is committed to preserving and reviving biodiversity in urban settings through conservation planning and policy. While she started her career in music (Berklee College Of Music, 2013), she pivoted into ecology soon after.
With an interest in California native plants, Natalie began volunteering with The Audobon Center and Tree People, assisting with restoration initiatives. To further her knowledge and expertise in the field, Natalie received her Horticulture Certification in 2020 and her California Native Plant Landscaper Certificate (CNPLC) in 2021. Eventually, she became an affiliate ecologist at Great Ecology, where she assisted in monitoring plant establishment in wetland restoration efforts. Additionally, she served as the Operations Manager at Fig Earth Supply Nursery, spearheading the Native Plant Program to promote education and raise awareness for sustainable landscapes in California.
At the Bren School, she specializes in Conservation Planning with a specific emphasis on Strategic Environmental Communication.
