Bio
I am currently a graduate student at the Bren School, located in University of California, Santa Barbara, pursuing a master’s degree in environmental Data Science.
As a Santa Barbara native, I attended Santa Barbara City College and UCSB to pursue my education, receiving a Bachelor’s of Science in Environmental Studies. During my time at UCSB, I completed an internship that focused on research and conservation of vernal pools. From this experience, I gained the opportunity to create an independent research project that focused on the nitrogen concentration in vernal pools near urban landscapes. After graduating from UCSB, I worked at Montecito Union School, an elementary school, for 1.5 years. There, I gained valuable experience, such as teaching concepts in a digestible format and communicating effectively with a wide age range.
I am currently growing my data science repertoire and hope to apply my new skills in environmental conservation. I look forward to learning to transform data into a digestible form that can reach a broad audience who wish to be involved.
