Bio
Paul Rikhter graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies. During his time as an undergraduate, Paul interned with Santa Barbara Axxess, conducting market and business research to find the company’s competitive edge. Upon the internship’s completion, Paul worked with the Cachuma Operations and Maintenance Board fisheries division, and continued there after graduation to monitor and restore steelhead trout habitat. While Paul will always be passionate about habitat restoration, he decided that after a more science-focused undergraduate degree, he wanted to pursue an interdisciplinary approach to solving environmental problems. He decided to continue his studies in the environmental sciences, with a focus on the communication of scientific information. At the Bren School, Paul is specializing in Corporate Environmental Management, aiming to match corporate interests with environmental well being. He hopes to develop and implement market incentives for corporations to act in a more environmentally conscious way in the future.
