Peyton Moore graduated with Honors from the University of South Carolina in 2019 with a Bachelors of Science in Marine Science and a minor in Economics. After a multitude of experiences in her undergraduate career, her interests converged at the intersection of global economies and the governance of marine environments. Peyton built a strong foundation in science through her experiences in the field and the lab, while also taking on leadership roles in student government and working to create community art projects. From analyzing samples of Alaskan permafrost to spearheading sustainability initiatives on campus, Peyton always gravitated towards solution-based thinking. She combined her skills in a senior thesis project exploring personal opinions on climate change in the Galapagos Islands then culminated her findings in a short documentary film. Peyton is now specializing in Coastal Marine Resources Management, and is determined to utilize compelling communication strategies and effective policy to resolve the complex issues facing marine environments.
