Something About Me
Originally from Carson CA, I'm currently a 2nd year B.S. Environmental Studies major planning to pursue a career in wildlife conservation. Ever since I was a small child, little, my parents always made sure I was outside, regularly taking me to visit local, state, and national parks. Thanks to their encouragement, I developed a passion for these places and the creatures that live within them. Fueled by my passionate commitment to the wilderness, I am eager to nurture within myself the skills needed for a career in conservation. Among the parks I've visited, some of my favorites include Crater Lake National Park, Sequoia National Park, and most recently Mt. Rainier National Park, and Yosemite, which me and my family visited every year. At UCSB, I've particularly enjoyed volunteering with SciTrek, in which I have taught science in local middle and high schools. In the future I hope to pursue opportunities in education as well as researching wildlife habitats.
