Bio
Sneha comes to the Bren School with an interest in equitable conservation and sustainable resource management. After graduating from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill with a B.A. in English Language and Literature in 2018, Sneha joined the environmental field as an AmeriCorps member, serving two years at Sequoia Riverlands Trust, a regional land trust in the San Joaquin Valley of California. After completing her second term of service in 2020, Sneha was hired full-time to provide hands-on environmental education, conduct community outreach and engagement, and manage grant funding.

In this position, she worked to advance regional conservation, expanded environmental literacy in historically underserved communities, and secured over $1 million in grants to develop programs. Through this work, Sneha gained a deeper appreciation of native habitats and a passion for land conservation, ecological restoration, and nature-based solutions to resource loss.

At the Bren School, Sneha is specializing in Conservation Planning with a focus in Strategic Communications, which will allow her to continue working with communities to champion equitable, landscape-scale resource management and conservation, create connected habitats, and support a more sustainable urban-rural-wildland integration in the future.
