Bio
Tulsi Mistry graduated from the University of California, Irvine in 2021 with her B.A. in Environmental Science and Policy. During her time as an undergraduate student, she pursued a sustainability internship in the Campus as a Living Lab program where she worked on reducing food waste on campus. She conducted waste audits, collected data and performed outreach to raise awareness about preventing food waste. This experience fostered her passion for environmental problem solving by helping her realize how being environmentally conscious can be instrumental in protecting the environment.
In an effort to work towards her passion, Tulsi embarked on a consulting career at firms including LSA Associates and Dudek after graduation. Currently, she works as an Impact Assessment and Planning Consultant at a global sustainability firm. She evaluates potential environmental impacts arising from urban development by ensuring compliance with CEQA. She also assists on field efforts for Southern California Edison and Amazon projects which has provided her hands-on experience in conducting erosion assessments, stormwater site inspections, water quality sampling and recreational surveying.
Tulsi is now pursuing a Masters in Environmental Science and Management at the University of California, Santa Barbara. She hopes to specialize in Business and Sustainability to develop holistic solutions that mitigate natural resource concerns and help shape a sustainable future.
