Bren-Environmental Studies Fellow 2022 - 2024
Something About Me
A fourth-year Environmental Studies and sociology double-major at UCSB, I plan on pursuing a career involving environmental policy and advocacy. To sharpen my focus on environmental justice generally, I will be conducting research on racial diversity within the ES department at UCSB with the Environmental Leadership Incubator. I will also be serving as a mentor in the Bren-Environmental Studies Fellows Program. For the past two years, I have served as an informal science educator with The REEF, where I led educational programs for K-12 and undergrads that focused on the intricate ecosystems present within our maritime community. In the summer of 2023, I worked as an intern with WorldHealers Inc., a nonprofit organization focused on spreading cultural awareness in the classroom via educational workshops. In the fall of this year, I will begin my position as a support program staff member at the Wilderness Youth Project, aiding in the facilitation of outdoor programs that promote a deeper bond between kids and nature.
