Something About Me

Hi! My name is Abigail. I’m a senior double majoring in Environmental Studies and Sociology. I’m passionate about the protection of marginalized communities that fall victim to ecological apartheid. I’m also a Climate Resilience Fellow for the UC’s Carbon Neutrality Initiative, and I spend a lot of time performing hazard vulnerability assessments for the UCSB campus, reviewing data about different groups experiences with various climate hazards, and working to improve community engagement and education surrounding climate change hazards, vulnerability, and preparedness. With the academic and professional skills I’m learning across my fellowships, I plan to pursue a career in Public Health, with an emphasis on Environmental Health. In my free time, I love collaging, singing, and working out. As I continue to integrate my academic knowledge and hands-on experience, I hope to advance environmental health and climate resilience to create a more equitable and sustainable future for all communities.
