Something About Me
Hi! I’m a third-year undergraduate pursuing a double-major in Environmental Studies and Aquatic Biology. I’m originally from Knoxville, Tennessee. My primary focus is to intersect the STEM and humanities fields to study wildlife behavior, care, and conservation, particularly in coral reef and kelp forest ecosystems. I have helped conduct scientific research on territorial contest interactions in snapping shrimp, as well as studies in mammal biodiversity, marine heat waves, and carbon farming. I also own a nature-conscious and nature-inspired jewelry business, EcoJewelria, that raises awareness for various flora and fauna and their crucial role in the environment. EcoJewelria uses recyclable and recycled packaging and carbon-neutral shipping, and has been sold to all 50 states and 16 countries. In my free time, I enjoy tide-pooling, watching and reviewing films, and cooking fun recipes.
