Something About Me

Currently pursuing a BS in Environmental Studies, I'm enthusiastic about pursuing a career in environmental conservation. At UCSB, my primary focus has been on incorporating place-based knowledge systems into ES through a course on traditional ecological knowledge and two projects on bringing those ideas into ES education. I look forward to working in the fall of 2024 as a nursery coordinator for Your Children's Trees, where I hope to incorporate some of the insight I have gained from courses and my experience in 2022 as a National Park Service restoration intern. I worked on a team to restore several sights in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area urban national park to bring back native ecosystems and foster community engagement. Although I am not a pro, I enjoy hiking, paddle boarding, and anything else that gets me in unique and green spaces.
